Starting our 3 days desert tour from Marrakech to Merzouga, we will depart from Marrakech and travel across the High Atlas Mountains and Tizi N'tichka Pass.
There will be several stops along the road. Visit the most prominent Ksar in the Ounila Valley, the Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Moreover, it acted as a destination for many of Hollywood blockbusters, including "Lawrence of Arabia", "The Jewel of the Nile", "Gladiator", and "Game of Thrones"...
Due to its amazing history and picturesque location, the Kasbah (Ksar) of Ait Ben Haddou was inscribed to UNESCO's World Heritage list in 1987.
Continuing our 3 days desert excursion from Marrakech to Merzouga by heading to Ouarzazate and exploring the renowned Kasbah Taourirte before enjoying a leisurely lunch.
We will drive through the Valley of the Roses in the afternoon before arriving at our riad in the Dades Valley, which is located in the small village of Boumalne Dades in the Tinghir Province. Dinner and overnight accommodation in a convenient private room.
After breakfast and a hot shower at the hotel or riad, we will continue our 3 days desert tour from Marrakech via the Todra gorge, Morocco's highest gorge and a popular resting place for mountaineers. Additionally, it has a river, palm trees, wheat fields, and ancient kasbahs.
After strolling the gorge, proceed towards Erfoud through the villages of the Berber nomads from southern Morocco to reach Merzouga. Where our camels will be ready for a journey through Erg Chebbi's sand dunes.
When you get to the camp, you'll have a delicious meal and enjoy a small celebration presented by the locals and dance around the fire. At last, you will spend the night in one of the most picturesque locations in the desert, where you can watch a luminous sky of stars.
You will need to get up early on the last day of your 3 days desert trip from Marrakech to Merzouga if you want to see the sunrise. After breakfast, take a shower at the camp. You will rejoin your driver after riding your camels and return to the village.
After leaving the Merzouga Desert, we'll take a different route through Rissani, Alnif, Tazarine, N'kob, and the Daraa Valley to return to Marrakech. pausing along the route for lunch.
